Who builds these Little Pubs?

Spotlight on: The Manufacturer

As My Little Pub is the brain child of an interior designer and a master joiner, we’re taking the time to introduce you to the parents. To begin this spotlight series we introduce to you MWF Manufacturing, the team responsible for building and bringing each My Little Pub to life.

MWF Manufacturing is a Christchurch based joinery business who are all about joinery manufacturing excellence, something that becomes very clear when you step inside each My Little Pub and are wowed by the details and absolute precision on all of the custom joinery inside.
With over 15 years of experience in the industry, MWF have become leaders in their field. Not just because of the time, but with that time has come learning and with learning they have realised they need to constantly find new ways to push the boundaries, to set the benchmark and change the game. Cue, My Little Pub, very much a game-changer.

When the idea of My Little Pub came along, the conversation went a little along the lines of “well let’s stop talking about it and let’s just do it” and with that MWF produced the first Little Pub, O’Loughlin’s in 3.5 weeks, right before Christmas in time for work drinks on the final day of business for the year. Talk about pushing boundaries.
The first build wasn’t without it’s challenges either. With such a small space there is not a lot of room for error, so when things didn’t fit, or wasn’t quite right, it was pulled out, reworked and tried again - something that is very time consuming and costly. Let me remind you that this team will not settle for anything mediocre.

MWF Manufacturing have been involved in some very cool commercial projects over the years including Coffee Culture - The Crossing, which won an architectural design award with Chris Wheeler of Hierarchy Group, The Brit Pub & Eatery in Auckland’s Britomart and most recently Silky Otter Cinema in Christchurch’s Wigram just to name a few.

But perhaps what we love most about MWF Manufacturing is the team. MWF take a holistic approach to business, ensure a supportive environment and encourage every individual and team success. With that culture comes 35 passionate people who enjoy what they do, in a workplace where they can flourish and collectively build on a world class business with a reputation for quality and premium service.
A culture that allows ideas like My Little Pub to come to life and for that, I think we can all take our hats off to them.

Thanks MWF Manufacturing, we couldn’t do it without you.
