A Handshake and a Pub
This is a (very) short story on how the O’Cawood’s Irish Pub came to be.
Back in June, Glen and Dianne were in Christchurch for a work trip when an opportunity to visit the Little Irish Pub arose.
A couple of Guinness and a handshake later Glen and Dianne decided they too wanted a Little Irish Pub.
Fast forward to September, with a covid lockdown in between, and Glen and Dianne found themselves sitting inside O’Cawood’s Irish Pub in their own backyard in Mosgiel.
The end.
”It is not a glorified man cave, it is a miniature of a real pub. The detailing is beautiful. We have probably had about 150 people seeing it at our plecse. People are amazed how comfortable it is and tell us it is just like being in Dublin” - Dianne
I had great pleasure in being invited to the O’Cawood’s Irish Pub opening. The beer was flowing, the Irish music was pumping and the grins couldn’t be wiped off anyone’s faces.
Glen took great pride in sharing the back to back “appointments” he had made over the coming days and weekends with Work colleagues, the Squash Club, friends and family, people from all over, you had to get in line.
